VOLTIMUM LIVE

Last week, LINIAN took part in Voltimum Live, the biggest virtual trade event for the electrical industry, 8-12th Feb. It was our first time participating in an online trade show, and we didn't really know what to expect, but due to the current situation, and after hosting successful webinars with Voltimum in 2020, it felt like a natural choice.
Anyone who remembers meeting our team at Elexshow (or any other events like ADI Expo, Firex, Fire & Safety Event etc.) will recall the excitement at our stand as we demonstrated products, caught up with old friends and colleagues, spoke with customers, and gave away SO MANY samples. Obviously, the virtual event couldn't quite generate the same buzz as the live events as watching the number of people at your 'trade stand' on a screen, while working from home, isn't quite the same as having a queue of excited installers gathered around! However, the end result was definitely comparable, and the online event had some advantages too.
On the first day of Voltimum Live, Ian Arbuckle MIET hosted a live webinar on Electrical Vehicle Charging: Management and Earthing Technology for Faster, Safer, Simpler EV Installations. We were delighted with the success of this. 135 people attended the live webinar, and we had really positive engagement and feedback. Our other on-demand webinars on 18th Edition Regulations and Risk Assessment were available throughout the week and proved popular with our trade stand visitors too. Throughout the event, visitors were able to visit the virtual LINIAN trade stand and click on different areas for 'Free Samples', 'Products', 'Specification Info', 'Videos', and 'Webinars', and to download our catalogue and other information directly. Most attendees spent significantly longer browsing our online content than they would have spent at our physical trade show. They could also click and directly speak to our team in a live chat.
At live events, we always give away boxes and boxes of free sample packs as we believe it is important for installers and specifiers to see the physical product to feel the quality and to truly understand that LINIAN products are the FASTER, SAFER, SIMPLER option. For this event, we set up an online sample request form, and we were overjoyed by the number of requests we received.
For anyone who signed up to receive free samples, we're still working our way through the long list of requests now (it takes a lot longer to pack and ship than to hand over in person!). All sample packs should be ready by tomorrow and with you by next week.
